Lyrics
THE RAIN © Mary Shapiro 2000
The Rain gently comes by here washes clean off the pain
drip drop the drops they fall on my heart as they say
come walk the Earth it is clean and lively
fresh from the breath of the rain
The lake is so still tonight liquid glass for the moon
lighting a way for me hear the call of a Loon
later or soon there'll be white cap rhythms
on on and on goes the lake
The stars are so bright tonight I won’t walk very far
all the names I don’t know ‘em yet I still love that they are
tales for the earth pointed puzzles singing
clear is the song of the stars
on on and on goes the lake
fresh is the breath of the rain
the rain
